Hello  friends! In collaboration with The Trevor Project & Equality South  Dakota, please join The Transformation Project for a screening of the  documentary Pray Away. Pray Away produced and directed by Kristine  Stolakis follows the survivors of "conversion therapy" and former  leaders. [As a note conversion therapy is NOT a true sanctioned form of  therapy and the intent is to make LGBTQ+ straight and/or cisgender.]

Content warnings include Transphobia Homophobia Religious extremism Discussion of the aids crisis Brief mention of childhood sex abuse Parent not affirming their trans child Mention of self-harm One of the former spokespeople has a slight redemption arc (can be triggering to survivors)

After  the film screening, we will be having a community event where people  can send messages to their legislatures urging them to ban conversion  therapy in SD and nationally as well as write messages of hope and love  for a community quilt.

So please join us on Tuesday, September 13th State Theater 316 S. Phillips Ave. Sioux Falls, SD 7:00 PM CST
