More often than not a family or individual previously in opposition to LGBT equality begins to understand the negative impact this mindset has upon their gay children, relative, friend or co-worker. The softening of this stance appears to be taking shape within the Mormon church as a group calling itself the Committee for Reconciliation calls upon church leaders to lessen their uncompromising stance on LGBT equality.
It is reported in The Salt Lake Tribune that a former Mormon, Linda Stay says, ""The church really does owe these families a huge apology..." The full story can be read here in The Salt Lake Tribune.
