Dear Veterans Lobby Day Partner,
We would like to sincerely thank you for the vital help you provided in making this week's National Veterans Lobby Day on "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" a tremendous success. With the support of more than 70 partner organizations, hundreds of veterans from 40 states lobbied Congress and the Administration face-to-face at a crucial time in the repeal efforts. We couldn't have done it without such a strong coalition of organizations working together towards this singular goal.
At servicemembersunited.org/, you will find a sampling of the Lobby Day news coverage as well as the next steps we are encouraging participants to take. The next few weeks will be critical, and we hope that you will continue to join us in urging your members to take action on the road to a hopeful victory. Can we count on you to send an e-mail to your members asking them to take the next steps outlined at the end of the newsletter?
We appreciate your support of Lobby Day and look forward to continuing to work with you to repeal "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" this year.
